Horoscopes...

Yikes!

Sister and I. Laying in bed reading the daily horoscope...

Ours are eerily correct...
We read our parents...

EERILY CORRECT! Sometimes I find horoscopes sketchy... but sometimes their accurateness gives me the eeby jeebys.

The end/thoughts?
PS, sorry I always forget to post. :P

Woaahhhhhh Nelly...

Had some free time. Thought I'd spill to LJ for a first time in a while.

So, as a lot of you know, my life has been anything but... sane lately. I have been in school, working and in the process of moving from about september - early december. On top of all of that I hadn't been getting along with my mom. OH, and did I mention that a squatter (nice name for a HOBO) had been living in my friends shed, and stole a bunch of my valuable stuff that was temporarily stayingi in that shed until I moved out. HA. Before I left for California I was about as normal as a chicken running around with it's head chopped off (nice visual, eh?) So to say the least, my trip to California could not of come sooner, and it was... an amazing trip.

Soo, I left the 11th, or was it the 13th? Anyways, whichever one of those days was a saturday was the day I left, and I made into CA around 4. My dad and sister picked me up and already I was feeling more relaxed being with such stable sane people. HAHAHA. The very next day it started snowing in Oregon, and it would have been VERY dificult for me to get to portland with the fresh snow etc... I got to my dad's that night and spent the evening over at my aunts with my dad sister stepmom etc, and it was so relaxing and wonderful. For the next couple days we started preparing for Christmas. We baked lots of cookies, cleaned etc... Then, the remarkable thing happened...

SNOW IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! YEAHHH!! AND LOT'S OF IT!

Heres a picture of my dad's buried car...

Yeah, so we were snowed in for.. two days I believe it was. My dad couldn't go to work, and my sister couldn't go to school all week :) It was awesome, and lasted about four days... probably a week actually. The IRONIC thing about it, and how I knew this trip was just meant to be, is that before I left I was originally supposed to go down for only two weeks and ended up changing my ticket when Iwas sick of Salem. The day I was originally supposed to go down was the day the snow was the worst. I WOULDN'T OF BEEN ABLE TO OF EVEN GONE IF I HADN'T CHANGED MY TICKET!! I Missed snow storms in two different STATES in perfect timing! Talk about questioning the existense ofa higher power Lol. Anyway, it worked out perfectly :)

So then the next SPECTACULAR THING HAPPENED. I MET BECCA BOO!!! YEAHHH!!!
So most of you know who becca is. She is my amazing BFF Shebam (a regular of the A Great and Terrible Beauty Message boards on IMDb. And we have been talking for... months now and finally got to meet :) She is ironically from the same town as my dad. GO FIGURE. Anyways, picture!

Sooo yeah. That tis' my update. Talk to all you people later

Deet Dahhhh Deeeeeee

So, life has been pretty INSANE lately! Seriously, sometimes I feel like my head is going to explode off of my body, what a thought. No joke though, I feel like I am the real-life headless horsewoman. I can't believe how fast everything got SO crazed and BAD. I am so lucky that I have the good people, literature and music I do to keep me going.

I have officially decided. Parents, are crap. Seriously recognize how blessed you are if you have barely any issues with yours. I am so sick of playing the victim card when it comes to my parents, I am ready to get out there and live my OWN life! It's due time. A well needed break is needed with a certain parent in my life, and I will not be left depressed in the situation. So, if you're my friend and you see my crying in a corner, SLAP ME and tell me to get up and back in reality!

A few things are actually going quite well in my life thank GOD. My job! I have officially decided that I need to do what I am absolutely passionate about, what is life without passion? Honestly? NOTHING! So I am going for it! On the job sense, I work with quite the fab four. We are the shit, I'm not going to lie. So, if you're reading this Kim Angelina or Paul, you guys ROCK. Thanks for the good times.

Anyways, enough for the evening, I'll write more when I feel more interesting.

The Beginning

I pondered for some time as to what my first journal entry on Livejournal would be about. I considered college, politics, liars, sickness, traveling, change and then I made my ultimate decision.
Books. Yes, that's correct books. I love books. I am a complete reading n.e.r.d. I can't get enough of them. I am completely in love with the written word. I have been falling asleep reading since before I can remember. It is hard sometimes for me to relate to a person who would willingly choose a television screen over reading a novel. How mindless of a generation have I been brought up in? Sometimes I honestly feel like throwing my television out the window, and watching it crash and burn. (Although I refuse until a few shows have canceled.) Reading is such a beautiful thrilling experience everyone should know and understand. That is my two cents and I am sticking to it!
My all time favorite series ever written is the Gemma Doyle Trilogy. They are honestly some of the most beautifully written books I have ever read, and they made me fall in love with reading all over again. Libba Bray, if you ever read this, you are my hero. You are such an inspiration to me, and I am forever grateful.

As you can see, I posted a link of my favorite books at the top.

a. A Great and Terrible Beauty, Libba Bray
b. Rebel Angels, Libba Bray
c. The Sweet Fat Thing, Libba Bray
d. The Prisoner of Azkaban, JK Rowling

I highly recommend you read the posted books. I also recommend joining Shelfari.com. It is an awesome site, and much more mind fulfilling than myspace and facebook. Let me know if you join any reading clubs, perhaps I will join in!
